The Charitable Chanteuse

Allow yourself for a moment to slip into a place. Maybe on Main Street.  Maybe somewhere underground. This place has an air of secrecy, yet still reaches out and pulls you in. Exciting you, captivating you, making you lose yourself in it.

This is the place you go when you experience the velvety smooth vocals of Miss ChelseaMarie Noel. Born, raised, and still living in the New England area in real life, for the past six years ChelseaMarie has been singing over various internet platforms and programs.

Although her genre is not specific, with just a touch of huskiness in her voice, ChelseaMarie channels such jazz greats as Lena Horne, Billie Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald. If you ask her though, she will humbly tell you that she didn’t always have their confidence. In her words ” I’ve always had a love for music and singing, and one day I said a little prayer asking God to allow me to sing better so that I could fully enjoy my passion,” she said.

Within a month, she began her online singing carreer and hasn’t stopped since.

With the recent downturn in the SL economy and the variance among singers and performer’s fees, Chelsea still carries on with her singing and performances. One thing you will quickly realize upon speaking with her is that for her it’s not all about the money she makes from her performances. Giving back is very important to her as well.

She gets great pleasure singing for shut ins, who’s only form of entertainment and socializing may be from her shows and music in SL, and most profoundly perhaps was her charity performance for Feed a Smile, the Kenyan charity.

She donated 100% of her proceeds and fee to the charity.  The appreciation shown by the children benefitting from her donations made a lasting impact on her.

In addition to her enjoyment from helping charities, she also offers great advice to new singers, and those who hope to make it in the music industry virtual or otherwise.

“Put in the time and the work; Don’t think it’s easy,” she said.  “People will get to know who you are. We all have a gift to give in this world.”

She may have a thriving music career on her own, but ChelseaMarie also enjoys taking the time to visit live venues to hear other singers and performers as well. You can find Chelsea at her Tahitian hangout and and venue Nanihi, or at any of the following link below:
