After Three Years, A Glimpse at What SL Means to Most People

In just hours, voting will end for an SL Enquirer poll that has run for about three years. The question: What Does Second Life Mean to You?
So far, here are the results, courtesy of SLE Editor Lanai Jarrico:
An Extension of Real Life? 115 (48%)
Just a Game 29 (12%)
Business 55 (23%)
Leisure 86 (36%)
All the above 59 (24%)
None of the above, SL Sucks! 7 (2%)

A clear 48% majority chose “an extension of real life” as their main reason for SL existence.
Business made a strong showing, drawing 23% of voters, four votes shy of a third place spot, but for SLBR, this is a bit tricky for us to analyze from a business perspective.
The “extension of real life” category and the “all of the above” category certainly lends some support to the business category. Considering that SL came in above “SL Sucks,” I guess we can’t brag on the business showing too much though.
