There was some interesting news in CEO Skip Oceanlane’s February update, which was published on the SLCapex.com web-site yesterday.

Oceanlane addressed rumors that a report by a CERC member indicated that the Capital Exchange was on its way to bankruptcy.

“Capital Exchange has a large reserve of lindens from me selling my personal stock and adding it to the company coffers years ago,” said Oceanlane.

He went on to note that he may have to cut his own salary in 2014.

“If I eliminated my high CEO salary,” said Oceanlane. “We could easily be profitable on the books.”

In the same report, Oceanlane noted that the CAPEX stock paid another .10 L$ dividend this month.

On an interesting note for traders, Oceanlane noted an observation that investors have started to hold onto their stock more often instead of day-trading.  While investors typically see day-trading and limit orders as a more lucrative strategy for maximizing profits, Oceanlane hopes the trend will continue towards investors sitting on the stock.
