Dargon started out back in the year 2000 as a friendly storytelling game between a father and daughter. The father and his daughter would go back and forth telling outrageous stories about a land where the magical dragons and their elven allies lived side by side in a fragile peace that was always threatened by some king of villain usually taking form of the daughter’s mother. This game eventually made its way onto Yahoo Messenger where it joined the many user created chat room roleplay games that were happening around that time. This game finally received a name through one of the chat room role players. The name of the game would forever be known as Dargon.

The Dargon adventures came to a stop on July 4, 2003 after my father passed away of heart disease caused by severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder which in turn was caused by his service during the Vietnam War. It has taken me many years to get the courage to continue something that my father and I started together. I have attempted to bring Dargon to Second Life twice already and twice I have failed due to being new to SL and not having much experience. However, this will be my third and lasting attempt at continuing the game that almost 10 years ago now was interrupted by tragedy hitting my family.

The plans for the new Dargon include a mixture of fantasy elements creating a truly unique adventure that I will not speak about at this time. The sim will be upgraded with mainly mesh builds and a fresh storyline. Tonight’s ball will help to raise funds for the new builds as well as the tier cost on the sim itself.
