Upon arriving, you are greeted by the sights and sounds of what we can presume it felt like that day, April 10. 1912. The day the RMS Titanic began her maiden and only voyage, after fate dealt a poor hand.  On April 15,1912, she struck an iceberg and as as a result, 1,514 people would perish. Over 2 hours and 20 minutes later, she sank below the waves, never to be seen again until September 1, 1985 when she was re discovered.

Receiving over 70,000 visitors since it was created in 2009. The Titanic is a hugely popular destination in Second Life, offering formally attired Ballroom dancing,live music, several shops through the sim, freebies,and a host of sights for those who consider themselves enthusiasts.

Visiting the exquisitely created memorial is moving to say the least. Looking at the Memorial Wall, with the names ever so carefully inscribed, of those who lost their lives on that fateful morning, you can feel the depth of loss–the brave men and women who worked on her, and travelled on her, and died with her.

Walk up the gangplank. Feel the opulence. The attention to detail on the SL RMS Titanic is astounding right down to the Grand Staircase. Buy a ball-gown for free and twirl away the evening to one of the extremely talented SL live entertainers, or simply wander and explore this very touching and superbly built, Ship of Dreams.
