Editor’s Note: The Almighty Linden
When I opened my first business in Second Life, I wished someone had written a manual for success. Well! This isn’t it.
There is no recipe for success. Anyone who is featured in this magazine will tell you that. Still, business owners can use a resource for business advice, practical information or even inspiration. At SL Business Review, that’s our goal.
In each issue, and on our website, we will cover SL business and finance analysis for virtual entrepreneurs. Our coverage will include trends and profiles in real estate, finance, retail, entertainment and more.
I don’t claim to be an expert on business. If I was, I wouldn’t have written “my first business.” What I hope to do is connect experts on the virtual economy with those who hope to be. With that in mind, let’s get to business.
For this first issue, we needed a good starting point. We covered a range of resources for aspiring business owners. And our interviews aimed to get a general sense of each owner’s respective market. So for more seasoned business owners, much of this may seem elementary, but as our collective knowledge grows, hopefully our ability to identify problems and solutions will grow too.
As for what’s in this issue: I’m not a Table of Contents. A business owner leaves his customer wanting more. Bill Kaye winks.
