SL Fantasy Roleplay: The Realm of Dargon

The Kingdom of Dargon

Many people regard America as the land where you can become anything, and to a certain degree they are right. With a little drive, some hard work, and a decent imagination you can become anything in America that you want to be. The same can be said of Dargon, a newer Fantasy Roleplay sim. Set somewhat in the past it has a rich and developed storyline that involves a vampire lord, a fallen paladin, and several wars.

The Realm of Dargon became a safe-haven for the non-human races that had been outcast by society and became monsters in the process. Despising the technology that had put their former prey or subjects on even par with them, Dargon relives the glory days of the Dark Ages.  The person, who currently runs Dargon out of Character wise, is a young woman by the username of Ludragonslegacy. This writer took the time to delve into this well-built sim, so that he could perhaps give you a better taste of the dish that is Dargon.

You enter the Sim’s roleplay area by boat from the mainland, which is heavily watched by guards. As long as you can prove you aren’t the human ‘norm’ you are allowed to enter the Realm of Dargon. Yet even if you are, there is a possibility you could escape and run straight through the town to the forest where it is possible you could hide out from the inhabitants. Yet even then, I am sure you would be pursued by the local ‘gods’ who are actually shape-shifters that use the form of a Dragon often.

Entering the Realm of Dargon.

“What is there to do in Dargon?” I first asked myself. But why would I take the time to write an article about a sim in which there was absolutely nothing to do? In Dargon currently there is a Tavern to drink, feast and sleep in. You can rent a house in the secluded area. Soon there will be other events such as jousting and storytelling. Every day is an event in Dargon. You merely have to walk into it and start roleplaying and you’re sure to find something extremely interesting going on within.

The main castle, home to the royals reigning over Dargon, rests upon a hill overlooking the town. As all nobles, they will need guards and enemies with which to fight. So, are you able to take up the banner and defend those in charge? Or are you a rebel looking to overthrow the vaunted rulers, and establish a land of your own? Take a swing of a sword at Dargon!
