SL Enquirer and SL Business Review Establish Media Partnership

SLE Editor Lanai Jarrico and SLBR Editor Bill Kaye discuss the details of the partnership outside SLE headquarters.
In an effort to strengthen the collective discourse of the virtual universe, SL Enquirer and SL Business Review have established a partnership to syndicate content, cross-promote and collaborate on future news leads and projects.
Under the terms of the deal, which was finalized late last night, both media companies will retain independent editorial discretion and financial operations. As partners, they will serve as conduits to each other’s news content by featuring RSS feeds, “teaser” stories and mutual affiliate advertisements.
SLE Editor Lanai Jarrico and SLBR Editor Bill Kaye seemed to wrap up the terms of the merger in a few minutes, but the duo spent an hour discussing the prospect of future ventures and strategies towards gathering the best information for the public.
The venerable SL Enquirer has covered the virtual world of Second Life since 2005. Under the leadership of Lanai Jarrico, it has become one of the longest running publications in SL. It publishes multiple news updates each day on its site.
Quoting Voltaire, SLE’s Editor in Chief Lanai Jarrico said simply: “With great power comes great responsibility.”

SL Business Review only began publishing in July 2012, but its publisher, inKLine Media has existed since February 2011. The magazine publishes an inworld edition once a month, but updates its site frequently.
“It’s such a huge honor for us really,” said Editor of SLBR and Publisher of inKLine Media in a statement. “In my eyes, they’re the New York Times of SL. If our respective entities can assist one another, I truly think media of SL can serve a vital function to its audience.”
To celebrate the merger, the partners plan to celebrate the merger with a party in early January, but details are still to come, or “TK” as they say in media jargon.
